About the job
We are looking for a Caregiver to take care of our 13-year-old daughter for bi-monthly date nights for mom and dad and a few other situations. She has Cerebral Palsy and is in a wheelchair, and needs assistance with many things. But she's still a 13yo with an infectious laugh and many interests. The ideal candidate would be comfortable with the following: Working with a disabled child; Help with toileting; Ability to lift 75lbs and/or use a Hoyer Lift (we can train you); Watching game shows and playing a lot of Uno. You will not need to give any medications. We will start some sessions while a parent is still in the house, so you and she can be comfortable. At other times, her 15yo sister may be home to assist. This is an excellent job for someone who has an interest in PT, OT, or Special Education.
