My husband, who is my caregiver, has 2 upcoming carpal tunnel surgeries: October 22 and November 26. I am wheelchair dependent and have a ceiling lift to transfer from chair to bed, bed to rolling shower chair, back to bed for dressing, and bed to wheelchair. On Saturdays I need assistance taking a shower. This will involve placing a sling under me and attaching to the ceiling lift to place me in the shower chair. I have a a rollin shower and after rolling me in the shower, wash my hair and I can partially wash myself (I only have use of my right hand and arm. After my shower, lift me back into bed and get me dressed. Experience in dressing disabled adults while in bed is preferred. Finally use the lift to transfer me back into my wheelchair and adjust for comfort. I can do my own hair, etc. I also need assistance emptying the urine bag on my wheelchair and the bed bag. My husband is available for guidance, but cannot physically help.
