We are looking for a compassionate individual to care for our 21-year-old daughter. This position, a TennCare Choices position, will be paid through Consumer Direction. Previous experience with developmental disabilities preferred. Our daughter has cognitive and global developmental delays, functioning at a 3 to 5-year-old level. She has a shy-cheerful-mischievous personality and enjoys games, videos, dress-up and jewelry. She faces mobility challenges and primarily moves by crawling or wheelchair. Responsibilities may include, but not limited to, preparing formula/food, assisted control of an electric wheelchair, transfers, incontinence care, showers, grooming, and accompanying her on short trips (with parents) for shopping, medical appointments.
