We are looking for wonderful, compassionate caregivers to join our team as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) for a 40-year-old male power wheelchair user with muscle disease in the Irmo/Ballentine, South Carolina area. You will be directly working with the client as a home health aide, following a one-on-one care plan in their home. Hoyer lift experience is preferred. SHIFTS NEEDED (some flexibility): Mon-Fri AM (3 hrs): ~9am-noon Sat-Sun AM (2. 5 hrs): ~9:30am-noon Sat-Sun PM (2. 5 hrs): ~7:30pm-10 p.m. RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist patient with necessary daily living activities, including dressing and personal care. Perform Hoyer lift-transfers into and out of bed, as well as into and out of shower chair and wheelchair. Care for patient by changing bed linens, doing laundry, and light housecleaning. Keeping records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with the supervisor. Assist client with meal prep and light cooking. Engage with patient in exercises or other physical fitness activities. Drive patient to and from appointments and errands using patient's vehicle.
