Are you patient, creative and kind? Do you enjoy helping others thrive, engage and connect? Do you excel at creating a calm, predictable environment? This is an opportunity to work with an 18-year-old young man with intellectual disabilities on the autism spectrum, who is sweet but shy. He is verbal but struggles with practical language skills and needs a patient support professional who allows him the time he needs to express himself. Minimum commitment is to meet him T-W-R when his bus brings him home at 3:30, and care for him until between 7:30 & 9:00 p.m. A minimum of 15 and up to 30 hours per week are available if you are interested in working additional days or weekend hours. Experience helping individuals with intellectual disabilities or autism required.
