We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a crucial role in providing care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities or autism. Responsibilities - Assist residents with daily tasks such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication reminders - Support residents in activities promoting independence and social interaction - Ensure residents' safety and well-being at all times - Advocate for resident rights and dignity - Provide companionship and emotional support to residents - Help residents with mobility, including lifting and transferring when necessary - Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents Experience - Experience in caregiving or patient care is preferred - Knowledge of working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is a plus - Ability to lift and assist with heavy lifting tasks - Familiarity with nursing home protocols and procedures - Strong communication skills and empathy towards others Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $14. 00 - $16. 00 per hour Benefits: Flexible schedule Referral program Schedule: Day shift Evening shift Holidays Monday to Friday Morning shift Night shift Overnight shift Weekends as needed Work Location: In person
