Looking for a part-time caregiver for our 14-year-old son with Intellectual Disabilities in Pelham. 10-15 hours a week. The ideal candidate would be able to work on ADL skills - getting dressed on his own, navigating the town we live in, purchasing items at a store, participating in community activities and interacting appropriately with peers. He is sweet and funny and loves to tell jokes, but often has difficulty with concepts of time and safety. Is willing and able to do things on his own, but needs supervision and guidance to get him to the next level of independence. At least one weekend day is needed and 2-3 weekdays after school (taking him to movies, classes, activities, etc). Subject to background check and willingness to work on the books. $31/hour.
