About the job
We wish to hire a patient friendly companion for three-hour shifts on Saturdays and/or Sundays with our relatively high functioning cognitively challenged adult daughter. She is an accomplished artist who takes classes in Manhattan. She also participates in a theater group and takes singing lessons. She loves music and dancing, games, chatting, swimming (we have a swimming pool), gardening, taking walks, weaving and socializing. I am looking for a companion for her who could drive her to classes, or the library, or outings in the Bedford area, play games with her, help her with her reading, writing, and spelling, encourage her in her balance and fitness routine, and perhaps introduce her to arts and crafts projects. Salary is $33. 50/hour. On the books. We have two small gentle cats.
