About the job
Our family is looking for a kind, flexible, neurodiversity-affirming individual to provide direct support to our 6-year-old autistic child. The provider would be responsible for helping him meet specific goals, including forming and navigating connections and relationships within the community. They would also support him both in and outside of the home, helping to facilitate positive interactions with siblings and friends. The ideal candidate would be creative and motivated to utilize our child's special interests and strengths and would be willing to apply a relationship-based approach to help him further develop social emotional and self-regulation skills. Hours would be 6-9 hrs per week during the school year and 6-20 plus flexible hours per week during the summer and during school breaks.
