I'm looking for nurses that are a good fit for what I need. A good attitude, likes to work, laid back, cheerful. You need to do what I can't do so being able to problem solve and be open minded is what I need. We will be working very close together. I had a spinal cord injury when I was 14 years old. I can move my arms but not my hands. Assessment from head to feet. I'm looking for good communication (speak good English), open mind, sense of humor, take direction well, OK with being told what to do, alert and a wide range of interests. It's a good job for new nurses. Only if you are looking for long term residency. You will learn a little bit of everything working with me. Your job is to seriously look after my entire body, etc... temperature, blood pressure, AD Autonomic Dysreflexia,, bowels, bladder, pain management, skin break down management, medication list, & being sensitive to improve job out put & patient (my mood) & your mood stays positive. I like sun shine, a hot wash cloth, stretching all my joints morning & night, clean clothes, water, alcohol some times, movies, rock music, assistance painting, making crafts, video games, chocolate, & more. I'M GETTING A HELPER DOG. You must like dogs & be in shape. You absolutely MUST be WILLING to drive my van. $20 per hr. My hrs. are 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. & 2 p.m. until 3 a.m. Monday to Sunday.
