I am looking for a full-time 1:1 aid for our 7yo son with special needs in Ellicott City, MD with a start date as soon as possible. The position requires transportation of our son to and from therapies, social events, and extracurriculars, so safe reliable transportation and clean driving record are a must. Beyond childcare, the scope of the contract will include implementation of therapy and IEP goals, potty training support, supporting child development through play, adherence to our son's behavior plan, feeding assistance, bathing, and communication assistance with alternative device. Help with son's laundry (folding and putting away), adaptations around the house, modifying toys, prepping snack/meals and other household work pertaining to our son and his special needs. Child has PICA and elopement risk. Maintenance of safety a must.
