About the job
Family seeking long term Saturday caregiver for fun and engaging 13-year-old boy with physical disability and epilepsy. Some weekdays after school would be a bonus. This can be a PCA, CNA, or nurse position. Our boy is charming, bright, and engaging. He loves pranks and all things funny. Interests include video games, transformers, hot wheels, Lego, and board games. His condition (HSP) causes spasticity and weakness throughout his body. He uses a wheelchair, and requires team lift or Hoyer for transfers. Caregivers help with all things physical, toileting, stretches, dressing, mobility, play, and guarding seizures. Parents are home to help. Candidates must be attentive, patient, empathetic, and fun/silly. Pay is based on experience. Regular schedule is Sat 8am-2pm, and some weekdays 3pm-6 p.m.
