About the job
I need an special needs helper with experience. Our needs are: Help Staying Physically Active, Companionship, Transportation, Independent Living Skills. Duties include providing companionship and social interaction. Part of your responsibilities may include going with my Adult child to Walmart, etc, so you need a driver's license and good driving record. You could also use public transportation together. My adult child is high functioning and verbal, but I am the sole caregiver and need support with life skills and confidence building. I also have a 60 lb very friendly mastiff mix. If you are comfortable with dogs, it would be a bonus if you can take her out from time to time, if needed. There are also 2 self sufficient cats in my home. You will need to be a Personal Care Worker for Medicaid, or be willing to go through the process.
