About the job
Looking for a part-time caregiver for our 5-year-old son with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Autism in Chicago. The schedule would vary based on your availability and hours per week you need. His dad and I have split custody but would like to both use the same babysitter. We'd need someone able to travel to both the Hyde Park and Pilsen neighborhood. Jax is an energetic kid who loves hugs and cuddle time. He is non verbal but advocates for himself using his aac device or by grabbing your hand and taking you to what he needs. He loves drawing, painting, and playing with his cars. He is currently being potty trained and can go a full waking day with no pamper. At my home, his 11-year-old sister will also be present most of the time. Ideal match will meet the requirements below. As well as have some experience with non verbal children.
