About the job
Looking for respite care for my autistic 16-year-old (they/them). They love animals, certain video games, shopping, and making digital art. They really need to work on social skills and daily life skills. They can have challenging defiant attitudes at times, but never violent. I am looking for someone who is confident and comfortable working with autistic teens. Patience is a must. Friendly but still an authority figure. Must be able to drive, be ok with outings, taking their dog out with them sometimes, and be able to plan activities out of the house that would be interesting for a teenager. We have so many pets. Too many! Must be comfortable with ALL types of animals, including snakes, rats, cats, a dog, and lizards. And chickens! And quails. I also have 2 other children, but this job is ONLY for my 16.
