About the job
Looking for a part-time caregiver, 2-3 days per week, for my son with Autism, Speech Delay, Blindness/Visual Impairment in Deltona. He is 24 and is having issues with severe separation anxiety when I leave for work. I am starting a new job in January that will allow me to meet his needs better, but am struggling until then. We recently lost our caregiver. He needs help with ADLs. When he is calm he enjoys interaction. When he is panicking he may need space. He can be a big love, but can also be very loud and that can be a big challenge. I'm looking for someone who has autism experience and is CPR certified. I'm a single mom/hospice nurse. We have cats and dogs, but if you're not a pet person they all have places they can go until I get home. If you're comfortable with him, he likes to go to the park is his favorite!
