Seeking a Care Provider In Woodbury who understands and has experience with the mentally ill. My son has schizoaffective disorder. He cannot work. He lives alone and needs someone to check on him at least 3 days a week to make sure he is safe and to straighten up his condo and maybe do his laundry or run an errand or take him to a local restaurant to eat . Someone who will also look at his med cases to ensure that he is taking his medication. He is a nice guy. We are flexible regarding timing of visits and days of the week. There may also be times when you are on 24 hour call for 2 or 3 days in order to give my wife and I respite. Rarely does he need help, but there should always be someone available in case he locks himself out of his condo or something like that.
