About the job
We are looking for a part-time support person/buddy for our 26-year-old son at home and able to accompany and transport him out in the community. He will be needing 15-20 hours/week to start, predominantly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and occasional evening or weekend hours. My son has had the most success with people who are energetic, fun and are fully engaged. Our son is smart, funny and kind but struggles with expressive language. His receptive language is good, but it is important that people working with him are fluent and clear in their speech. He enjoys photography and photo editing, art, puzzles, frisbee, shooting hoops and more. The candidate will be willing to use their own vehicle and be compensated for the mileage.
