About who needs care: This is for my Daughter, Pariss. She is 43 y/o. Pariss suffered a TBI at the age of 4 months. I have had custody, now Guardianship/Conservatorship of Pariss since age 2 y/o. Pariss is blind, has a speech impediment, and limited cognitive abilities. We are seeking someone to spend some time with Pariss. Getting her out of the house to enjoy the community. I am 63 y/o, and a Disabled Veteran. I am wheelchair bound so I am limited in what I can physically achieve with Pariss. She does have a Live In Caregiver , yet her assigned hours are limited. We are hoping to get Pariss out for short periods so that she can have more a social variety of options to enjoy. Currently she only has her Caregiver, Brandi and me. We want Pariss to bee able to have a better quality of life than to just be limited to us. Thank you very much. We look forward to hearing from you. About the care needs: Pariss is Blind, cognitively limited, and her speech is impaired. She enjoys music, going for rides, shopping, (getting and putting items in the cart, going to the swings and slides and movement that stimulates excitement. An ideal fit for Pariss would be someone who is patient, caring, understanding, willing to assist Pariss in toileting, (mainly giving her tissue and ensuring she wiped properly, and is just an overall happy and outgoing person. We do prefer a Female to assist with Pariss. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
