About who needs care: I will be out of town moving my son in TX back to WI and Bill (my significant other) has a feeding tube. I just need his line flushed and a bag filled with 2 or 3 cartons of Jevity formula, attached to the small pump (all fits in a backpack) and then plugged into the feeding tube. It doesn't really require any medical training. We just have no family or close friends in the area. Bill has had several strokes. He's ok but he lost the use of his left hand (he was left handed) otherwise, he could do this himself. It takes me two hands to get this job done. The whole process with food probably takes no more than 20 minutes time. Flushing the lines in the morning and giving him his pills takes much less time. I could have his baby aspirin, thyroid pill and the two half pills he takes twice a day all set up in a pill container for the week. Bill gets his line flushed twice a day but the pump usually runs while he sleeps. However, we could change the timing to whatever works out more convenient for the person coming by. Thank you. About the care needs: Outgoing with a sense of humor and maybe speaks kind of loud. Otherwise, Bill will sit like a lump because he can't hear what the other person is saying. Bill has no hobbies other than Westerns and television shows from the 60-70's.
