Work 1 on 1 in a stable, long term home care position for a man with dementia. Duties include companionship, housekeeping, cooking, driving his car, giving meds, personal hygiene assistance and cuing. He does NOT require lifting. He is high functioning and is prompted/cued with all ADLs. He has a great sense of humor which makes his caregivers enjoy spending time with him. Keeping a safe, sanitary and welcoming home, keeping him mentally & physically active with companionship and reminding him are the main parts of the job. Dog friendly appreciated, Grand-dogs stay occasionally. We have flexible shifts of varying length starting Fri 5:30p to Sun 10p. $14-17/hour Caregiver can SLEEP, just get up when he does 10p- 6a.
