About the job
About who needs care: My mother is largely independent but needs some help with housework, meals, getting in and out of the tub etc. She is very social and previously enjoyed volunteering with young children so could also use companionship. We are reliant on public transportation which can be more dangerous in the winter so transportation is helpful but not required. The supplemental home care is funded by the state's IRIS program which would need an additional background check (also paid for by the program). Caregiver would be taking over many responsibilities I currently am in charge of while I return to school full time. We have two cats as well.
