About the job
This position is one weekend a month, Friday 5 p.m. through Sunday 5 p.m. Recently, my partner of 15 years and full-time caregiver suddenly and unexpectedly passed away. I am now navigating starting my life over, which includes living independently for the first time in over a decade and building my care team from scratch. I am very fortunate to have wonderful friends who have stepped up to fill my weekday shifts, so now I am looking for reliable, easy-going, and fun folks to help me out on the weekends! I live with a genetic disease called spinal muscular atrophy, which basically means I have very little muscle mass and voluntary movement. I use a power wheelchair for mobility, a BiPAP for nighttime breathing support, and voice control for my phone and computer. I love art, nature, music, and movies. Shoot me a message for more info!
