We are looking for a senior care provider. My husband has Frontal Temporal dementia. He is a very sweet person, though quiet. He needs someone to be there for his safety, make sure he has breakfast, and to help with his laundry and cleaning while I am at work. He loves birds and animals and nature and likes to go places. When he was able, he loved to surf, hike and bow hunt. We are in the process of applying for the Veteran Directed Care program, so anyone we hire will need to go through the registration and training process with Consumer Direct Washington. The job would be paid for by the VA, but checks and benefits come through Washington State. Some out-of-pocket hours might also be offered. The job would range from 10 to 30 hours/week depending on the schedules of caregivers.
