About who needs care: My dad and stepmom just need someone nearby in case they fall, or an emergency occurs. They live a 15-minute drive into the mountain, on curvy gravel roads, and just worry that something will happen, and nobody will be around to help. They are currently able to care for themselves at this time. The care person would live rent-free in an apartment that is not connected to the house but is a few feet away from the house. The apartment has a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, living area, and a large closet space, The person would be paid hourly, only as care demands, (which is very minimal at this time, since they have been caring for themselves completely up to this point). About the care needs: Anyone would be fine really. They just need to be ok living in the mountains, 25-30 minutes away from stores and hospitals. Services needed include: companionship.
