About who needs care: Mid-range dementia, wheelchair bound, week legs and one bad knee, needs help with toileting and transfers, meal prep, anorexia issues, companionship. Typical day includes changing nighttime diapers, help getting out of bed and onto bedside commode, out of nightshirt and into daytime cloths. Fix breakfast, give meds, chat, wheel into TV room. Lunch and bathroom break if needed around 1-2:30. Back to watching TV and maybe transfer to from wheelchair to couch. Dinner about 6 or 6:30. Help to bed about 8. About the care needs: Calm personality, conversant but not too talkative or hyper. Respectful of client's wishes. Allow for some independence while being mindful of fall risks. Encourage eating and drinking water. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
