About who needs care: She is on hospice, her diagnosis is pancreatic cancer and varices of the liver. They gave her 6 months in August of 2024. She has a history of cancer, dangerously low blood sugars and congestive heart failure. Her hobbies are very minimal, she loves her cats. They keep her the most company, she enjoys watching the tv but of course that gets boring after while. Her days are very mellow for the most part, the most excitement is when I bring her a surprise of some sort. Shes a foody, she eats well for the most part. Never lunch though. She likes to snack! We don't follow any dietary guidelines anymore. We gave those up after uncovering her diagnosis and getting a referral to hospice. Shes lived in her home since the 50s and she doesn't wish to leave, which is why I hope to find someone who can step in for me because I need a break. I have been her primary caregiver for a year without getting out of my house for the basic of things, my girlfriend has helped me when shes able but she does have a full time job that she has to go to. About the care needs: Bubbly, talkative, friendly, caring, compassionate. Able to lift as need, use a gait belt if needed, toileting, medication administration, dementia management/experience, meal prep and serving, extremely light house work. Enjoy watching the tv, cause it'll be on.
