About who needs care: Our 80 y/o father is experiencing new onset delirium with exhaustion, undiagnosed Sun downers syndrome. No neuro deficits at baseline. During his episodes: He incorporates dream content into reality and gets out of bed. Hx of falls. Hx of hallucinations and AMS. He is easily redirectable and very friendly. Indwelling urinary catheter due to BPH: day->night and night->day bag changes. Needs help getting into and out of bed. We will be buying bed rails and a bed alarm. We have an adjoining room to call your own while here or available for live-in exchange. About the care needs: Dad likes reading, classical music, jokes, and conversation. He has never hurt a fly / nonaggressive delirium. Services needed include: night time prep, bathing / dressing, sleep safety, morning prep, foley Cath.
