About who needs care: My mother in law who is 100 fell two weeks ago but did not break or fracture any bones. Since the fall, she has been bedridden but is now getting physical therapy. She is very lucid but hard of hearing. She was capable of taking care of all of her personal needs (bathing, toilet, dressing, medications) prior to the fall. My husband and I prepare her meals and she has been living with us for seven years. Prior to the fall, she used a walker. About the care needs: Becky doesn't do hobbies. She watches tv, reads and talks to friends on the phone. We purchased a hospital bed, bed tray and portable bedside commode. Nursing skills such as bathing her, turning her, help to the commode and foot care. Services needed include: feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
