About who needs care: Beginning to have memory issues. Helping them get up, prepare breakfast, shower when needed, go for a walk, and then prepare lunch. About the care needs: No specialized skills needed. Mainly kind and attentive and engaging. Her husband is home and available, and sharp, and able to generally care for her. But we are looking for someone to be there too to make sure they both are fed, she takes her medicine, she is showered and has someone there with her as a companion. The hours we are thinking initially are the morning for a few hours, and then ideally the evening around dinner for a few hours for meals and getting her ready for bed. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
