We need 3 daily visits or live-in care to take care of my mother in law in North Garden. Some light tidying up is involved, washing sheets and clothes, cleaning up after meals, etc. Assistance with bathing only when she has accidents - Hospice is involved and sends someone to bathe her one or two times a week. A typical day will look like getting her out of bed, to the bathroom, changed, teeth brushed, make coffee and breakfast and have her eat sitting up. When she's done she normally stays on the couch. Lunch and dinner will look similar, with her sitting up to eat and a visit to the bathroom. Bedtime around 8:30-9:30. She can only assist minimally in getting up and down from her wheelchair. Groceries or errands when appropriate. Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker.
