About who needs care: Ideal day is that we get her up - exercise her legs before she gets out of bed and then have her to sit up and start to stand on her legs . She uses a walker, get to the bathroom bathe her use mouthwash and then clean pajamas and then get her to the kitchen table to eat a yogurt while her breakfast is being fixed. And then walk her to the front door to let her look out side for a few minutes and then walk her back to the den. Let her sit for a couple hours and then she goes to the bathroom, then lunch then she has an electronic pedal wheel that Automatically rotates her feet for her for about 15 minutes forward and 15 minutes backwardThen she goes back to the bathroom in two hours and then she will have dinnerr around 4. -4:30. But my sister will put her in the bed around 5- She lives across the street from her. She had a blood clot on her right side, but it has gotten better but shes still on Eliquis twice a day. She does not like to pick up her feet. She drags her feet so she will always need assistance in walking. . So we would like someone that can perform these duties and also be a person who talks to her , have fun with her and pushes her to walk better. She has a good appetite- no teeth and no dentures because she lost two pairs and we decided not to get anymore. She has Medicaid. We would be paying out of pocket.. About the care needs: Someone who definitely has a lot of patience and someone who likes to talk and be funny. Dependable and will show up everyday on time. Someone who knows how to handle a person who needs assistance getting in and out of bed , bathroom and walking. No specific hobbies or interests. But it they can get our mom interested in something - that would be great ! Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
