Hands-on Care Needed For My Mother In Hampton

About who needs care: - My mom is 94 and Ivies in an independent living apartment with lots of support; my sister 15 minutes away. She works full-time as a teacher. - I live in Denver, work remotely. I often fly to VA to work/help as able. I am currently recovering from surgery, cannot travel. - Mom fell for the second time in as many months 01/26/25. She broke her hand, is in a cast. This is an issue as she ambulates with a walker. - We have had private duty help in with Mom PRN since her fall. She is doing much better. It has been nice to have someone available to help with bathing, laundry and meals. - The current company we are using requires a contract, minimum number of hours per week and has a minimum two-week termination notice. It is not something we can afford to commit to long-term. We need less PRN help and do not want to be committed to a minimum number of hours. About the care needs: Mom would do better with a female, especially for/with personal care/bathing assistance. Someone who enjoys meal prep would be good. Mom loves college basketball, professional tennis and game shows like Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. Plus the Hallmark Channel. She is an avid Scrabble player (still cognitively intact). Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
