About who needs care: In home care is becoming needed for my grandparents in the late morning-afternoon on weekdays. My grandmother is currently on hospice, however they are looking at graduating her potentially. She has mild-moderate dementia without significant behavioral disturbances as well as chronic CHF and diabetes. She is also almost completely incontinent at this point. Both she and my grandfather are suffering from increasingly poor mobility and require someone to be around just for simple household tasks. In addition she in particular needs general caregiver-type assistance (prompting for meals, occasional baths, dressing, etc) and some mild medical assistance (making sure meds are taken appropriately). In the grand scheme we were looking to find coverage for mon-fri from 11am-5pm, though this exact schedule can be negotiated and may not be doable right from the start depending on your needs and scheduling availability. Our ideal candidate would have some small medical experience, and be willing to have a sense of humor as they greatly benefit from good company. We look forward to meeting you, please do not hesitate to reach out with additional questions or interest. About the care needs: - Comfortable with assistance with medications - able to facilitate transfers from seated to standing position - able to be generally congenial and patient with memory issues - easy going Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
