About who needs care: Mom is 83 years old and frail, having had a few back and hip issues and fallen a number of times. She has some cognitive impairment in short-term memory. The ideal care person would check and organize her medicines, apply her pain patch to her back, do 1-2 loads of laundry per week, assist her with bringing in groceries from delivery, change her bedding weekly, oversee that she showers weekly, checking inventory of food and medicine, assist with daily activities she might be interested in (her current level of interest is very low), cook some meals, accompany her to doctor appointments, vacuuming and light cleaning weekly, accompanying on short walks outside. About the care needs: Mom used to paint as a hobby. Someone with an art interest would be great to see if she can be engaged to do some art. The ideal person would engage with her socially, as she is extraverted and would benefit from that. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
