About the job
About who needs care: Mild cognitive decline, has trouble finding the right words. Mild memory issues. He had an extremely accomplished career in the government and is very intelligent, so this is all difficult for him. He is a gentleman, polite, makes bad dad jokes when he can find the right words. We lost my mom in 2021 and he had declined a lot since then. Likes to go for walks in nature and take photos of wildlife. Likes to mess around with his coin collection and antiques, enjoys spy movies and shows. I worry that he isn't eating enough or regularly. Has lost weight in the last few months. I would like someone to help with meal preparation, light cleaning, and making sure there are no noticeable changes in his medical condition on a regular basis. About the care needs: As he loses his words, he enjoys listening, so someone who could carry on a mostly one sided conversation with him at times. Someone friendly and patient who is interested in lots of different things. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
