About who needs care: My mom is in the beginning stages of dementia. We are needing someone to come in in mornings and evenings on Saturdays and Sundays to help her with meds, meals, which is just microwave frozen meals, general tidy up if she has made a mess. Maybe take her for a walk around the block if she wants too. About the care needs: Someone that is gentle and patient. She is a very proud and private person. So this transition to needing help is very difficult for her. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
