About who needs care: My husband has Alzheimer's. He is friendly & kooky & loves people. He loves to chat but has difficulty finding words. He used to play hockey when he was younger & worked in the construction industry. He loves to be outside, and loves to take short trips in the car. He is physically healthy with no mobility problems, but his cognitive abilities are poor. He is not taking any meds. He recently transitioned to adult diapers. He mostly needs companionship; I need to ensure he is safe when I have to be away from our home. About the care needs: He likes people who are easy-going, friendly, kind & patient. He's like a curious toddler in an adult body, and needs to be directed. He needs companionship, getting more exercise & may need some help with toileting.
