About who needs care: My husband has frontotemporal dementia and has recently become very resistant to showering, even with help from me. I am wondering if having someone come in specifically to help him with personal hygiene might help us overcome what ever is keeping him from being willing to shower. He is big - over six feet and around 380 pounds, so his cooperation is necessary. About the care needs: He might be more comfortable with a male care giver. He is losing his language and it is hard to know how much he understands, so someone who is patient, but assertive might be the best fit. Services needed include: feeding, and bathing / dressing.
