My 79-year-old dad is a recently widowed stroke survivor. We have not moved him in with us yet, but are moving toward making that happen soon. He can toilet, bathe, feed, and dress himself. He is mobile, but uses a walker, or a wheelchair. Requirements: light meals and companionship. Light housekeeping is a plus. His communication is limited due to stroke, but he understands most everything, and can speak and hold some conversations. My dad is easy to care for. He enjoys old movies, dogs, and listening to NPR. (We have two medium sized dogs that can stay outside during the day when the weather is nice, or can come inside for companionship.) This is a perfect opportunity for a responsible college student taking evening /online classes, or for a retiree who enjoys visiting with the elderly.
