About who needs care: I have Mylomalacia Myelopathy and severe nerve damage that hinders my mobility at times and my mom is 79 years old and unfortunately I cannot help her right now so she has to stay with my sister, my aunt or daughter then here at home due to her having issues herself since she was diagnosed with breast cancer a few years ago and it's been a struggle because our home isn't completely safe to live in at the moment. We have issues with our water heater being cold, stove is not fully functional, the HVAC unit works when it wants to and my mom gave up her bed to accommodate my son and I had a spinal cord surgery in 2022 then auto mobile accident in 2023 while I was still healing and has left me with 8 herniated bulging discs. I take epidural shots in my spine and don't know how I can pay for them moving forward. The other driver didn't have insurance and it was a hit and run I was the passenger in the truck and the other was a work truck. I need someone to please help us out. I have worked all my life until I was hurt at work. I was never able to receive help because I didn't want to lose my job. Now, I'm stuck and don't know where to begin to pick up pieces. About the care needs: Just someone to help with a few home chores that require me to lift or bend and I cannot do as this time. I have my good days from time to time but cannot afford to overdo it and get myself worse. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and mobility assistance.
