About who needs care: Uses wheel chair. Does most things for himself. Has diabetes. Has some dementia. Needs preset meds given at marked times. Likes playing dominoes. Rises around 8 a.m. Takes blood sugar, and first med 30 minutes before breakfast. Eats breakfast that he prepares. Takes meds after breakfast. Watches tv and usually falls asleep in his chair. Eats lunch at noon hat care giver prepares- this is his big meal for the day. Takes meds after eating. Goes back to chair to watch tv. Sometimes takes a nap around 2 p.m. usually for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Eats evening meal at 5 p.m. that he prepares. Takes meds after meal. Will return to watch tv or play games, 5 count dominoes, Yahtzee, uno. Takes night time meds at 8 p.m. and goes to bed. He uses a bedside commode that will need to be emptied. He can transfer and use the commode himself. About the care needs: Upbeat, Spiritual, person used to dealing with hearing impaired. Church goer. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
