About who needs care: My father has cognitive impairment. He is able to perform basic activities of daily living but needs cueing to shower & brush teeth. He needs help with preparing meals & household tasks such as cleaning. He is originally from Louisiana so he loves Cajun cuisine but also loves a good burger. He loves coffee and starts his day with a hot cup of coffee. He no longer drives so transportation is key. His ideal day would be going out for breakfast & coffee. Relaxing in the afternoon and watching TV. He enjoys watching sports like football, basketball, or baseball. He also enjoys staying caught up with current events. In the evening he enjoys a nice simple dinner & winding down He has a caregiver every day with the exception of Tuesday & Thursday. About the care needs: He has been agreeable with all caregivers this far but can be sarcastic & dismissive if they don't have a bright personality and engaging energy. They should be efficient with cooking and cleaning. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
