About who needs care: My husbands name is Hilton, but he goes by his nickname Mickey. He is 79 turning 80 on September 23 of this year. He suffers from dementia along with lifelong dyslexia; while his body is in great shape his mind has seen much better days. Most of his struggles are mental lapses and confusion; he tends to wander around the house and yards constantly. Some days are better than others, but his dementia has shown no signs of slowing down. Id love someone who can prepare a few meals a day, help with some cleaning around the house, and just aid around the house in general. The main job would be monitoring and assisting my husband. About the care needs: Id love someone who is caring, trustworthy, and hardworking. No specialized skills other than being able to hold a conversation and redirect him when needed. He loves football and track; his hobbies and interests have narrowed a lot due to his dementia. He still loves to have a talk and a good laugh. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
