About who needs care: My husband has young-onset Parkinson's and was diagnosed at age 33. He will turn 63 in November. He loves watching sports, listening to e-books (science fiction), and used to love playing sports and board/computer games. We used to travel frequently. An ideal day would be to do his speech and PT exercises after breakfast, listen to some news, and go for a "walk" outside in his electric wheelchair. After lunch, he would probably listen to his e-book, watch some TV, and play easy board games. He might take a nap. He has stability issues and transferring between, bed, wheelchair, and table or lift chair has become more difficult. About the care needs: Someone with a sense of humor and likes to play games would be ideal, although his ability to talk and play games has really diminished in the last year. Services needed include: feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
