About who needs care: Post-stroke (left brain, medium to large - mostly emotional/decision making affected but also mobility). Retired firefighter, very proud and independent pre-stroke. Loved woodworking and home improvement pre-stroke. Loves old cars. Military history. Looking for someone who can come in to help with showers and occasionally sit with him. About the care needs: Must know how to use gait belt or mobility board. He is conservative but not overly religious. Someone who is caring and loving but won't let him just decline all help because he's embarrassed. Services needed include: companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
