About who needs care: She is in memory care now but she is still very communicative and needs company. She needs good conversation and someone to help get her day started, pick out clothes, talk about art. She was a bridge player and likes to talk about that too. The facility provides meals and cleaning but she is more functional than more other residents. She also suffers from chronic back pain which keeps her in bed most of the day. About the care needs: Ideally someone who is comfortable drawing mom into conversation and can show an interest in stories and maybe some crafts. Mom studied art history and can still talk about that when prompted. She is often in a lot of pain so someone who can help distract her from that is good. Maybe by telling their own stories of travel, pets, or kids. Services needed include: companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
