We need hands-on care to take care of my husband in Houston who is 89 and has dementia and loss of full movement of right leg and this cannot ambulate or use restroom alone. One of your main responsibilities will be helping with bathing and max assist transfers as he cannot ambulate due to neurological issues. He can feed himself, but may need supervision. We would prefer someone who can handle light housekeeping like dishes, sweep/mop floors and generally picking up. He lives with me in an apartment style home. I am in early 80s and I cook for him. It would help to learn how to make him tea, but I do most of the cooking. I have mobility issues mobility issues of my own as I have a knee that needs replacing. Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker and CPR / first-aid trained.
