Companion Care Needed For My Father In Houston

About who needs care: Diabetic. Former Military. VERY PROUD and desires independence. He cooks for himself, shops from store close to our house (drives himself). But I'm concerned more and more when I take trips about leaving him home alone for extended periods of time, as he has become a bit more confused, less cleanly, and having someone check in on him daily when I am out of town would give me piece of mind that he is OK. As he gets older this is something we may need on a recurring basis for when I'm at work. About the care needs: He responds well to our biweekly cleaning lady who is very bubbly and kind. He does not like to be treated as if he can't do things. This person would maybe clean the family area/kitchen and his bathroom as needed and make sure he's taking his medications. Maybe be able to take his blood pressure as well. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
