About who needs care: My mother has ALS. Her mobility is extremely limited and her communication abilities are as well. But, with some getting used to, she can be understood. She can stand and pivot enough to manage transports to the bathroom with assistance. We are only looking for care for a period of days to help us be able to be away from home for a few days. Otherwise, we manage her care. She needs assistance with feeding, transport to restroom and changing. About the care needs: Someone witty or who appreciates wit would be good. My mother is largely self-sufficient even with ALS. She can manage her own entertainment but she does enjoy the company of others and she's really funny-provided the joke doesn't get lost in translation. We just need a little bit of help to enable us to be gone from home for a few days, but not someone to help us manage ALS at large. We got that Services needed include: feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
